Zoobe at The Europas!
What a night we had last night at The Europas Awards! It was a great surprise for the Zoobe team to be shortlisted in the Best Cultural startup category, so in the first place we want to thank everyone who had something to do with it. It is an honor to be nominated along with 9 other great startups, even more knowing that there were 1,000 submissions overall in this edition. So yay us & you for supporting us!
We attended the award ceremony full of hopes and after saying hi to Mike Butcher, host of the night, we went straight to the bar hurried to get us some good seats.

Zoobe and "Celeste and Jesse Forever" together for St. Valentine's Day!
As St. Valentine's Day approaches, Zoobe is proud to present you the brand new members of its family: Celeste und Jesse! The most charismatic couple of the year in the cinemas arrives to Germany just on time for the lover's day. And not only to the big screen, also ready to be downloaded in your iPhone!
"Celeste and Jesse Forever", also known in Germany as ,,Celeste und Jesse. Beziehungstatus: es is kompliziert" premieres on the 14th of February. Either if you watched the movie already or you are waiting for the German release, you can enjoy them now in 3D if you get the Zoobe Eve app in the App Store.

The magic behind the voice on Zoobe
One of the aspects that fascinates Zoobe users the most is our voice effects and the different results they provide when creating a Zoobe message. Before you record your voice message, you can choose among low and high pitch, as well as leave the sound as it is. Check here this example:
The man responsible of all things audio at Zoobe is Andreas, who apart from being called the Zoobe Audio Master and 95% Berliner, is also a chocolate icecream wizard as you can see in the pictures ;) For World Voice Day we took a break to catch up with him to learn more about the voice of Zoobe.
So, Andreas, tell us: what exactly do you do at Zoobe and when did you arrive to the team?
I am a Software Developer focused at the moment in audio processing and research. I started at Zoobe in September 2011, and since then I have been working hard on making the sound and the voice effects for the app close to perfect.

Zoobe at the Mobile World Congress 2013
Last week the Zoobe team was in Barcelona for the Mobile World Congress 2013, one of the most important events of the year for the mobile industry. Apart from visiting the exhibitors in the brand new location of the #MWC13, we also had some time to catch up with fellow mobile lovers in the paralel events organised all over Barcelona. In both arenas we met great entrepreneurs and took our first steps to make Zoobe known woldwide. And not happy with that, we even gave away an iPad Mini!

A new update for Zoobe Cam & Eve available!
Just in time for the Easter holidays, our Zoobe Cam and Zoobe Cam Eve get an update! The v.1.8 comes with 3 great additions:
1. Now you can save your Zoobe messages into your device album using "Save to Album" button.
2. The sharing options for your videos increase with the buttons to share in a Whatsapp and Skype conversation.

It's Easter time: new Zoobe video & update!
Easter is here and so is our new promotional video for our cute Zoobe Easter characters! But that's not all: we also managed to get ready the new version 1.9 of both Zoobe Cam and Zoobe Cam Eve in time for your Easter greetings to your friends and family.
The update comes with some tweaks in our design and pop ups within the app, as well as better ways to reach us if you encounter any trouble while using Zoobe Cam or Zoobe Cam Eve. The "Save to Album" feature gets improvement as well, so your videos are not saved twice in your Album. And now you can send your video messages as an attachment too. See, we are always working on making your experience even better!

Zoobe is Red Herring Europe Top 100 winner!
This week our founder Lenard was in Amsterdam to attend the Red Herring Europe 2013 competition and he came back to Berlin with the award! Zoobe is among the Top 100 most promising companies in Europe and of course the whole team is extremely pleased about it. Not only because it is great to be on a final list shortened to 100 from around 6,000 submission, but also because we share the honour with the likes of Paymill, Delivery Hero, Conferize and Spreadshirt. The Zoobe Apps are now in German!
The new update of Zoobe Pets& Zoobe Eve is now live! It comes with a bunch of new features:
- Full German version of both apps for German users - just update the apps in the App Store and it will all show in German! More languages will come soon, we promise :)
- Now the audio file will stay after a video is created, so you can go back, choose a different picture or pitch level for your voice message and create a new video using the same voice recording.
- You can also check your recorded voice with different pitch factors after the recording & before creating a video message. Just slide up and down the pitch level to preview the sound effects. Ah, now the slider let's you select the exact pitch you need :)
- We improved the Share on Facebook dialogue that appears when you want to share your videos with your friends. You can now add a location and select the list of friends that you want to see the video.
- Now you can see your videos in landscape mode if you turn the iPhone horizontally.
Apart from that, our awesome iOS developer team also fixed some bugs you hunted and the Graphic magicians of Zoobe got some very cute new screenshots for the App Store! Meet Florian: Zoobe IT & Codemotion winner
Time to meet Florian, Zoobe's IT wizard and winner of the Codemotion Hackathon 2013 in Berlin! Florian joined the Zoobe team 2 months ago and since then he has been busy keeping us happy with Internet, computers set up and all geeky tricks. After a stint into Communications and Electrotechnic studies, he decided to get a taste of the startup world before changing to Computer Science. He seems to be liking the Zoobe ways so far and that's why we were so happy to discover about his after hours activities. Could you guess?

Great news, everyone! We are excited to officially announce that Zoobe secured a seed funding round which will allow us to take Zoobe to the next level.
At Zoobe we aim to bring a total new experience for mobile messaging, allowing our users to create their personal messages combining 3D animated avatars with their own voice and pictures. We make it possible to anyone not only to express their emotions in a matter of few taps, but also to send those video messages to friends & family both private and publicly. Zoobe Eve adds new Angry Eve and Adam!
Having a bad day happens to all of us and there are definitely few things that can deactivate the storm. Some ice cream? Bad for your health! Some shopping? Bad for your pocket! An angry Zoobe message with Eve and Adam? Well, the app is for free and the smiles are guaranteed ;)
